Paul Fisher, Governor

Paul Fisher is a former independent school headmaster, HMC Committee member and ISI inspector, who became a Governor in 2016. He serves on the Academic and Welfare and Safeguarding Committees.

Educated at St Agnatius’ College, Enfield and Christ Church Oxford, where he read ‘Greats’, Paul taught at Marlborough College and Prior Park College, Bath, before being appointed as the first lay Head of Mount St Mary’s College, Spinkhill. In 1998 he was appointed Headmaster of Loughborough Grammar School, where he served seventeen highly successful years, including a period as visiting Fellow of Harris Manchester College. He is a former Governor of three schools.

A keen sportsman, Paul is a renowned cricketer, being an Oxford Blue, an MCC member and a former player for Middlesex and Worcestershire. More recently, he has run several marathons and enjoys cycling and swimming.

Paul lives in East Devon with his wife Helen, and they have two grown-up sons. He sings in several choirs and enjoys travelling and reading.
