The Governors have responsibility for the long-term success and viability of the school and provide regular support to the Head.
The Governors, who also form the Junior School Committee of the Exeter School governing body, are non-executive and come from a range of backgrounds.
The Governors’ role is to:
Set the strategic direction for the school, ensuring its long-term success and viability
Provide guidance and support for the Head to ensure that the school provides the best possible education for both present and future pupils
Ensure effective control and management of the school’s finances
Ensure that the school complies with all relevant regulation
