Helen joined The New School in September 2020, having previously worked as a leader of excellence alongside Devon County Council to create the first Early Years Foundation Stage Partnership Unit in West Devon, as Early Years Manager and SENDCO. Helen is the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and has responsibility for SEND across the school. As Reading, Phonics and Mathematics subject leader, she shares her passion of these subjects with the children when teaching and planning events such as World Book Day. Helen trained as a dancer and choreographer at The London College of Dance and performed on stage across the UK. For a number of years she had her own dance school and now enjoys teaching dance to our children after school. Helen also enjoys swimming, walking and paddle boarding.
