Dan joined The New School in September 2021, having previously held the roles of Deputy Headteacher at ACE Tiverton School and Head of Pre-Prep & Nursery at Manor House School in Surrey. Dan studied Education and English at Cambridge University and has been teaching for over sixteen years, working across all ages in seven different maintained and independent schools in Cambridgeshire, London, Surrey and Devon, including 9 years in senior leadership roles. He is the Designated Safeguarding Lead and has responsibility for pastoral care across the school. As PSHE subject leader, Dan teaches every class, every week, as well as leading daily assemblies. He is both an Apple Teacher and a Microsoft Innovative Educator, in addition to being a founding member of the Chartered College of Teaching. Dan is part of the Exeter Junior School leadership team and a member of IAPS. He enjoys singing, running and walking Ruffles, the school dog, in his spare time.
